Cydle is currently introducing its new baby for car owners, the T43 Navigation System. From the looks of it, this compact and slim navigator surely aims to please.

First off, the Cydle T43 is compact and small enough to fit into one's palm. Only one can figure that its name may have been considered for its 4.3 inch LCD display, typical of how most TV models are named. Well anyway, the Cydle T43 boasts of supporting HD radio channels for better and clearer digital sound output. Traffic updates are provided in real time through the Traffic Message Channel on its HD radio.

The GPS navigation system comes with 3D maps, voice guidance features and comes with a high sensitive GPS antenna for better signal acquisition. The Cydle T43 also comes with Bluetooth support. Users may be able to wirelessly connect their Bluetooth enabled phones and make calls using the Cydle T43 touchscreen display. According to their website, it might not yet be available to the public.

TomTom Map Update Service

TomTom is making a daring move forward. The automotive navigation systems manufacturer launched a map subscription service called Map Update Service. Similar to the Navigon FreshMaps service, which provides quarterly updates with Navignon's NAVTEQ data, the new service comes with quarterly updates with its TeleAtlas data.
TomTom Inc. President Jocelyn Vigreux said, "The introduction of the TomTom Map Update Service completes our already-extensive map offering.
